How long does it take for a fuel injector cleaner to work? Good strong ones will start working immediately, and the results can be noticed fairly soon after that. The results will be different depending on how concentrated you use the product. Also, the age and condition of your engine will affect results. Finally, how aggressive you 'work' the product through the system can also affect results. If your engine is particularly high mileage, and you have multiple symptoms suggesting clogged injectors, you might have better luck getting a bit aggressive with a concentrated treatment, and driving the vehicle in a lower gear for a while whereby the higher engine RPM will force more fuel through the system.
